On 12/16/17 at approximately 9:52 AM Rye Police were dispatched to the Town of Rye Forest trails for a discharge of a firearm and a dog that had been shot. Officers arrived and confirmed a dog had been shot and sustained a fatal injury. Witnesses said a dog attacked another dog. The dog owner and a person who had custody of the other dog struggled to stop one dog from attacking another dog. The dog owner discharged a firearm within close proximity to the other person causing a fatal injury to one of the dogs.
As a result of the investigation, Robert Vose of 79 Old Beach Road Rye, NH has been charged with Reckless Conduct. He was released on $10,000.00 PR bail and is scheduled for arraignment at Rockingham County Superior Court on December 29, 2017 at 8:30 AM.
