Hiring Part Time Parking Enforcement Administrator

 

The Town of Rye New Hampshire is now accepting applications for the position of part time, year round Parking Enforcement Administrator.

 

Job Summary

 

The position of Parking Enforcement Administrator is normally staffed by a civilian employee that reports directly to the Police Lieutenant, but also works closely with the Police Administrative Assistant and other town employees. The Parking Enforcement Administrator handles various administrative tasks, which may include but not be limited to the tracking of tickets on hand or issued, ticket payments (accounting and deposits), appeal process, scheduling, parking studies, etc. Hours required will range from 10-20/hrs per week.  As a general statement, Parking Enforcement Officers are responsible for the enforcement of the parking laws of the State of New Hampshire, and the ordinances of the Town of Rye as they pertain to the parking of motor vehicles on public ways.  Parking Enforcement Officers patrol the Town of Rye as directed and takes appropriate enforcement action with regard to parking violations. Parking Enforcement Officers have no sworn powers and may not make arrests.

 

Minimum Qualifications Required

 

High school graduate or equivalent OR a combination of education and experience, which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, flexible availability, possession of a valid driver’s license, demonstrated computer, verbal and written communication skills, accounting skills, safe money handling, ability to pass criminal and financial background checks prior to employment.
