Ocean Blvd Daytime Burglaries

The Rye Police Department is investigating a series of residential daytime burglaries which occurred in the 2300 block of Ocean Blvd on Sunday 11/27/16. The suspect(s) forced entry into 3 different homes, and attempted entry into a 4th home which was occupied. The burglaries are believed to have occurred between 10am and 1pm. Officers are still processing evidence left by the suspect(s) and speaking with homeowners to determine what property was taken. Police are hoping people on beach or driving by at the time may have seen something suspicious near those residences or at the adjacent Jenness Beach or Sawyers Beach parking lots.

As always, police are also encouraging residents to call 911 immediately when they see or hear anything suspicious in their neighborhoods.
